Just Moved In? Let's Get Your Locks Sorted
No real idea who else might have a copy of the old keys? Let's fix that.
Moving into a new place means you have no way of knowing how many copies of the old keys are floating around - past tenants, previous owners, a contractor, a neighbor who used to water plants. Rekeying resets the locks so only your new keys work.
Rekeying is different from replacing the locks entirely: the existing hardware stays, but the internal pins are changed so old keys simply stop working. It's faster and less expensive than swapping out every lock on the house.
If any of the existing locks are old, mismatched, or already showing wear, we'll point that out too and let you decide whether rekeying or new hardware makes more sense for that particular door.
For most standard locks in good working condition, rekeying is enough - it makes every old key useless without replacing the hardware. We'll only suggest new locks if the existing ones are actually worn out or lower quality than we'd recommend.
Yes, that's one of the most common requests after a move - we can rekey multiple locks to all use the same key.
We check every exterior door lock, not just the front door, and can rekey them all to one single working key where possible.
